eR1c,
Thank you for the post. Do you have an explanation for the three smudges that appear (both the stills and the video) just south of the middle of the frame? is it something on the "clear" plastic of the bag in front of the lens?

I found this very helpful and am purchasing one of the cases for my compact digicam for our trip to Jamaica.

I have a feeling those may be slight undulation on the bag where the camera lensfits tightly against it, making light reflections on the picture (they are so close to the lens that's why they look out-of-focus and smudged). Remember the bag doesn't have a plexiglass windows for the camera lens, and you can never get the part of the bag against the lens absolutely flat and even.

Those 3 smudges were small tiny moisture droplets on the inside of the bag. Because it was extremely humid where I was moisture developed quickly when the bag was open. However with the silicone bags inside the moisture quickly evaporated. I probably should have waited a little longer for all the moisture to evaporate, but I didn't and these "smudges" were present.

I enclosed about 5 silicone packets inside the bag ...this seemed to keep the moisture down.

I've used the bag many times since this trip and can say that only once when I was in Mexico under extremely humid conditions was moisture an issue ..and not a big issue, just a small issue.
