Default Underwater photos - Panasonic DMC-FT3 (TS3), Far Garden, Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt, 2011

Just return from Egypt, Far Garden (near Naama Bay, Sharm el Sheikh):

movies: http://www.youtube.com/user/PrimozP#...8C0ED84445496C

Almost all material was recorded using "underwater" scene mode, AWB, continuous focus set to OFF, best picture quality, 8MP at depths up to 15 meters and all of them were made during snorkeling/freediving (mask and fins only), with "naked" FT3, without any additional light. Pictures were just imported to Picasa3, resized and exported.

Default Video report: our vacations in Sharm el Sheikh, may 2011

Everything was recorded mostly underwater, while snorkeling and free diving, with "naked" (no UW housing) cameras Panasonic DMC-FT3 (TS3) and with Pentax OPTIO WS80 (smaller part and only from the surface), at depths up to 14 meters.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0Xw2Wqyja4 (16:24 / minutes:seconds long)
  • beeps (07:00) are from my D4 dive computer - 12 meters depth alarm (depth limit for FT3 camera)
  • Eagle Ray (07:56) was 2 meters wide
  • some people (Russians) bring food from hotels and fed the fishes with it (which of course is forbidden) and therefore this Napoleon fish (9:25) asked for food all the time
  • very "aggressive" Clownfish (defending his/hers nest) bites my camera (09:53)
  • deepest photo, 14 meters deep (07:11)
  • part from 11:14 to 15:49 was recorded in one single piece, from the surface

This is a movie about how we recorded underwater shots. We filmed with two cameras (Panasonic DMC-FT3/TS3 and Pentax OPTIO WS80) simultaneously:
