Default Alternatives to ThumbsPlus - best image editor/viewer?

I have been using ThumbsPlus 5.0 for several years. I recently bought a new Canon A80 camera with a Canon i960 printer and am looking for an update to ThumbsPlus to do the following:

1. Image catalogue/database/viewer
2. Batch image processing, cleanup, rename, print
3. Simple editing and cleanup functions
4. Image printing with page layout templates
5. Easy photo web page creation

Can someone recommend a quick, efficient and stable package, which can do all of the above? I am testing ACDsee 6.0, but it seems bloated and buggy. Any other suggestions?

Thanks for any input..

Hi,
I am one of the authors of PentaSuite.
www.pentaware.com
It does most of the things you are asking about.

I too am a long time user of Thumbs-Plus, starting with version-2 and now with version-7.

I've read the PentaSuite product description and like what it has to offer.

Can someone who knows both "Thumbs-Plus" and "PentaSuite" give me a subjective comparison of the two programs?

I think PJ is the best alternative for ThumbsPlus.
