ACDsee now has a Canon RAW plug in available. I just installed it and it worked well with my DRebel RAW files.

Do you know whether it also can handle CR2 files of the new EOS-1Ds Mark II?? where can I get it?

I don't know. The MK II wasn't available at the time I obtained the plug-in. You could visit their site http://www.acdsystems.com/English/index.htm
