I use PS Album to organizemy pics. I now have about 8000 on my hard drive. I do regular backups to DVD-R. Since I got the D-Rebel, the loading of pics is slower than I like. It brings up a blurry thumbnail and then focuses it.

What I really like about album is that I can view all the shots based on a timeline of when the shot was taken, rather than view them by the folder that they are stored in. I can also attach tags to pictures and sort them by whatever tag I make. Are there other products that might do a better, quicker job than PS Album?

Thanks

Don

Hello DJPetron,

THis is a great question. I just got my first digital camera (Minolta A1) and I cannot take enough photos. I have done many searches on this subject but I find that most of the reviews are dated. I could not find a good side by side comparison view published in the last year. I have found a lot of software and have not made a decision yet. I hope you get a lot of replys that help. One review worth looking at is at

http://graphicssoft.about.com/cs/ima...otocatalog.htm

This review is about a year old. I am narrowed down to:

Photo Album 2 - may reconsider after you comments

Photodex Compupic Pro

Cerious Thumbsplus

I would love to here what people think about these packages.

Thank you,

Anthony
