if you already shoot Pentax SLR's, then the lenses you currently have will work with the KX. and it really seems the logical choice for your camera purchase as you already a Pentaxian. The 720p video from the K-X looks good, at least the examples I have seen. And as shoturtle has mentioned, the KX is arguably the low-light leader in that class of camera, whereas the Canon has the edge in autofocus, which is probably only a dealbreaker if you plan to shoot any sports. Either way, you will be pleased, they are excellent cameras.
