Hi,

I signed up to the excellent forums yesterday and submitted my first post last night. Its been about 12 hours but it is still not visible.

I was wondering if it normally takes this long for moderators to approve postings, or have I broken any rules ?

I did provide a url to a review from another famous photography website, is that not allowed ?

Sorry about that. It looks like they were approved right after you made this post when I checked the forums before heading out of town yesterday morning.

Most posts don't require any moderation. But, we have a Spam filter that monitors posts from new members, and sometimes it gets it wrong and flags posts for moderation when they're not actually spam.

That usually happens when a new member's posts contains links to external sites, since more often than not, when a new member includes links to other sites in their first posts here, it's spam.

It's a "learning" spam filter. So, hopefully no more of your posts will be flagged for checks by a moderator.
