Don't know if I'm posting in right forum but I was online to today and I came across KEH.com They buy and sale used 35mm, Digital SLRs and lenses. I want to know hasanyone here ever done busy with them and what are the pros and cons over buying used digitalequiment over new besides the $200-$400 savings?

I'd say saving almost half the cost over the new price is a pretty big pro....

KEH is legit. You'll probably get a better deal on eBay. I've always had good luck, but I read seller feedback carefully before buying.

The premium you pay from KEH vs. eBay is small, and usually well worth it. They have no intrest in scamming you, while even legit private sellers usually try to at least gloss over the 'little stuff' and get the best price possible.

That said, I have bought a LOT of stuff on ebay, including a couple digital cameras, with great success. I only had a problem once with a seller that plainly misrepresented a broken flash, then refused to honor his return policy. Paypal refunded everything, including my original shipping charge (though I did have to pay to ship it back).

keh is a great site. many people here would definitely recommend them, and when it comes to larger ticket items i think the small premium you pay over ebay is worth it (i.e. i wouldn't buy a camera on ebay, but would consider one from keh, while i'd probably consider buying a cheap lens on ebay first). also, you'll find their ratings scale is on the conservative side, so when something says in EX condition, it is usually near perfect.

KEH is my favorite vendor for used gear.

They have the most conservative ratings around, and you also have the peace of mind of a warranty with most used gear.

See the info about their 14 day return policy and 60 day warranty (both are from the invoice date):
