I need a digital camera below or at £100ish,

my requirements are just good quality pictures, versatile functions and abilities. I will generally be using the camera to take pictures for my photography projects at university. I will also take it to concerts with me to either take some pictures or film small amounts of it.

I'd like good battery life if possible, but picture quality is most important to me within my budget.

So far I like the pentax m20 because its so cheap, compact and functional. But the Sony w50/70 and cannon a5xx series are nice too.

What do you guys think would be the best one to get?

I honestly don't know if it would be versatile enough for your projects at Uni, but the Fuji Finepix F20 gets good results at gigs due to its high ISO capabilities. It can be obtained from Argos for £99.

Attached is a shot from Chicago band Fall Out Boy's show in Glasgow at the end of January.
