I have been reading a lot about the Canon S3IS. Can people tell me if they would
recommend it why or why not?

Got a S3IS a few weeks ago, great little camera,it has the BEST video cam bar none.If you want movies from you,re still camera ,this is the one to get big zoom image stabalizer oodles of functions, 2.3 frames per sec continuos shooting, with the ultra 11 card no problem with buffer, smashing tilt and swivel any way LCD.....

Drawbacks ,,size and resolution of LCD difficult to autofocus in low light( but that is true with most autofocus) noisr above 200 ISO but at 400 some think its ok. some not...( but again without going SLR you will get this with any P&S) I think, for the price it,s a good camera....but with spring coming....new edetions coming out from most makers,,can,t you wait ????
