Hi. My Panasonic DMC-FX01, which I loved dearly, seems to have been lost or stolen. I'm shopping for a new camera now. I loved pretty much everything about that Panasonic. It always seemed to make everyone look great (people thought my camera was magic), the videos were very high-quality, it had a wide-angle lens, and I loved the rubbery black finish on the camera. But the one thing that bothered me was the lack of manual controls. Now I'm looking for a new camera that will fit in my pocket and be good for those everyday point-and-shoot moments while also allowing me to go out with my tripod and take some more sophisticated manual shots. Anyone have any recommendations?

The smallest camera I could find that had manual controls is the Kodak C875. I'm not sure if it is small enough but it should fit in cargo pockets or coat pockets. Steve has reviewed the camera and it received pretty decent marks if I remember. I checked the Olympus pocket cameras and none had manual controls. Maybe others know of Canon/Panasonic/Sony/etc. that might fit your requirements. Generally small and manual controls are mutually exclusive.

While researching another post ran across the Fuji F30 which looks like it might meet your specs. See Steve's review.
