Father John-

Yes, I agree that the S-5 has some nice features. However, they are not worth $(US)200.I didn't think that the S-3 was much of an upgrade from the S-3 either. However, as we know so very well, camera prices always drop after that first 6 month of the "newness" factor.

At the end of the day, it is totally a personal choice. I am still happy with my S-2IS. It takes great photos as I hope these sample have shown. Do you want more flash coverage? It is easy and inexpensive to add a slave flash. If I am careful with my framing, I can getall the IQ I need from a 5mp image. You are very correct, the canon S-3 is a really great buy right now while there is still a camera inventory on hand before the S-5 introduction.

You're a PhotoShop Pro you know about filling the frame and not having to crop excessively, I am sure.
