I've looked at buy an old model for my closeup shots.
Here's my rationalizations.

1. Some cameras like Sony Mavica series had some good
closeup abilities
2. 640 x 480 is enough resolution for web shots
3. The batteries are inexpensive
4. With regard to the Sony Infolithium or just the
standard Lithiums that the Sony uses they come in a
large variety of capacities and the prices are low.
5. Accessories are cheaper now since the camera is
an older model. I won't go into how companies have created
and solved some of the problems or created new abilites for
the cameras.

6. The camera even if it's heavy or bulky is staying home.
It might live on a tripod. So it's moot that it's not as
small or light as a new model.

A. The Sony was just 1 example probably not the best I
could have picked. Another one, Nikon Cool Pix 2100,
I think has good closeup abilites.

Is my thinking on track?

For closeup work what are some older cameras that really do a good job at color, ease of use, or what ever other factors fit the closeup at home on a table type shooting ?

I hope some members find the answers helpful. Thank you.
