just thought i'd let you know, i received my H2 in the mail yesterday! i won the auction i was watching - got it for NZ$285! nice and cheap, so i wont worry myself sick if i lose/damage it while travelling...

it's much lighter than i expected, which will take some getting used to (althought the fuji s9000 was seriously hurting my arms after about an hour, so i guess light is good)

haven't had much time to play with it yet (i'm supposed to be writing a thesis at the mo) but can't wait to take it for a spin!

thanks so much for all your wisdom

I am delighted to hear that you got the Sony H-2 camera. It is a great camera and I believe that it will be an excellent travelling companion. The fact that you saved some money is also sweet.

You and I share the same problem. I should be finishing a lesson plan, but I decided to take a break and check the Forum. I am glad that I did, as there was your post. Bon Voyage!
