I was wondering, other than the Canon Powershot series, are there any other brands/series of digital cameras that use AA batteries?

About half the Kodaks, a goodly number of Fuji's, some Nikons. None of the Olympus Stylus series but some other Olympuses.

I think all the Pentax DSLRs except the K10D use AA batteries. My guess is that would include the Samsung DSLRs as well (except for the 10mp Samsung, whatever it's called).

But beware, because the Z712 & successors do take AAs in the battery compartment, but will generally suffer short battery life & power shortage unless the AAs arelithium primary disposables. KLIC-8000 or CR-V3 Li-ion rechargeables are better in those cameras.
