I am in need of a camera and flash setup that will allow me to take pictures of the interior of residential garages. The floors will have floor coatings on them which will add some reflectivity and there will be cabinets and organizers on the walls. I need these pictures to be high enough quality to be used in posters, advertising literature, banners, and other marketing materials. The buget is not very big. I was hoping/wondering if the Canon Powershot G9 would meet my needs and if so what type of flash setup will I need. I do not have very much photography experience so lots of help would be greatly appreciated!

I would think that a consumer level DSLR camera would be the best solution to your requirements. Either a...

Canon XTi with the kit lens and a Canon 430EX Flash
Pentax K100D with the kit lens and the dedicated Flash or the Sigma 500 Flash
Sony A-100 and it Model 5600 dedicated flash
