I would like to purchase a relatively inexpensive digital camera for my son who is 6. He loves taking photos. I found a refurbished Fuji A500 for $69. I have a higher level fuji so it would be nice as we could share XD cards. Does anyone have experience with this camera? Does it take good enough photos and is it easy enough to use for a child? It would also be nice to stick it in my purse and and take along when I don't want to carry the big camera.

Anyone bought refurbished camera's? Is it a good idea or no?

Any help is much appreciated!!

For another $20, you can get a brand new A610, which is a current model, has a larger, higher resolution LCD, a faster lens, and a more powerful flash...and a one year warranty...why chance a refurb?
