Help! I am looking for an upgrade to my Canon SD450. I bought the SD850IS, loved it (4x optical zoom), but took it back because the video files weren't compatible with Windows Movie Maker 2.1. In the meantime I got a fix for that, then I saw the SD870IS andliked the 3" display(but not the price). I went back to the camera shop to compare the 870 and 850, and the salesman recommended the Panasonic dmc-fx30 over the Canon. I checked Steve's camera reviews but there wasn't one for the dmc-fx30. I've had 3 other Canon's, so am kinda hooked on them.

Can anybody give mean opinion which would be the best buy? I use the video 320x240 mode a lot! I want the compact size because I carry it with me all the time. I take my pics at 1600x1200, use the continuous shooting mode a lot, and the self timer in the "custom" mode.

I'd stay with Canon SD850is. Panasonic is worse than Canon in low light.
