Hi
Has anyone bought from best price cameras? They are listing at canon 40d body for $499 US. This is way lower than I have seen anyplace else - I was looking for a 30d but this is only $70 more. Buy now!!?? Thanks for your time. Carson |

For some reason, cameras attract a particularly scummy brand of scam artist. Not all, of course, but there are some of the worst "vendors" I've ever seen, and I've shopped by mail and internet for years with very little problems until I got into cameras. I've set up my own "approved vendor list" of who I'll buy from (B&H, Beach, Buydig, Berger Bros., Adorama, Amazon, Buy.com all come to mind), but the majority I'll just ignore as my APL gives me enough competition that I can generally find a good price amongst all of them. Others have positive experiences with other sites, but I have a short list that I'll use.
If in doubt, resellerratings (as posted above) is a great resource, but be aware that some of the worst scam artists go so far as to post their own bogus, positive reviews, skewing the results. Always shop for cameras with a healthy dose of skepticism. |
