Are most compact P&S cameras about the same when it comes to capturing video in low-light situations?

I've found that most digicams produce videos as well in low light as they produce still pictures in low light...those that take terrible pics in low light usually take even worse videos. Think about it - how could it be any other way?

Unfortunately, most reviewers tend to post videos that show what the cams can do under optimum conditions (e.g., bright sunlight), rather than show a black screen, so it makes it hard for a prospective buyer to get a fair comparison.

Here's a link to a low light video taken by a Fuji S6000 - not a compact cam, but uses the same sensor as the F31 (unfortunately, this reviewer used the F31 on the same subject as the S6000, but on a sunny day)...

Here's one taken by Steve with the F20 in a bowling alley (notoriously dark)...

I'm sure that someone will come along and post a vid taken with another camera, just to...oh well, if they do, so be it. I just haven't seen it yet.
