If we compare E900 and A720IS.
Which has better image quality?
The E900 as a good ISO400, does the A720IS compare to it?
And about picture at ISO800, the E900 is noisy, is the A720IS noisier?

Finally, which one would you buy?

I have owned and used both cameras extensively. The Canon A-720 has better image quality and technology. However, if you desire to pretty consistently shoot at higher ISO settings (you mentioned ISO 400) you would be better served by the Fuji F-20 or F-40.
