The Kodak Z-712 is an excellent ultra zoom camera value, providing you get the proper LIONbattery and the charger with the camera.

Just to let you all know, i have ordered a Kodak Z812 IS From the Kodak online shop for £129.99/$270, a real bargain saving myself around £40/$80 in the sale.

Really looking forward to it arriving, im going to get myself a Bag, a memory card, some batteries and maybe a wide-anlge lens for it!

Thanks to everyone,

Especially Alan T and Mtclimber!

hello sim
i lean towards the panasonic as i own the fz20
however the tz5 is compact and will fit in a purse or large pocket
the fz8 and fz18 is a hang around your neck thingee
panasonic cameras do take really good pix
take a memory card to a store and shoot some shots then bring them home and analyse it
good luck
