I am looking for a camera in the range of max. $400.

What i will be using it for:
- pictures of people, landscapes, buildings
- taking pictures of my car
- pictures with the blurred light effect (shutter option i believe)
- pictures of people and attractions

i would like the camera to be quite easy too use and maybe also the option to use manual settings once i learn some of them. I also prefer to have a camera that has normal Batteries but if it has a Battery Pack with long using time. Or both^^

Thanks, hope to recive your answers soon

There are a heck of a lot of good point and shot cameras which would probably meet your criteria.

I would suggest some fairly inexpensive but decent cameras: the Canon Powershot A-590 (4X optical zoom - 8 megapixels) and the larger SX-110 (10X optical zoom - 9 megapixels). The former is being sold off quickly at $150 and under. The latter is being sold for between $240 and $300.

Do you want the camera to be pocketable? Do you want a lot of zoom? Do you care if you have wide angle (28mm) settings? Or is 35 to 38mm ok with you?

What kind of experience do you have with digital cameras?
