Need a new camera - the screen on my Canon A560 cracked. I liked that camera, especially the outdoor pictures but the lag time between shots when using the flash was annoying. I would also like something a little smaller than the A560. I'm looking to spend under $150. It seems at least once a year I'm buying a new one of these cameras as a result of accidentally dropping it in the lake or one of my kids getting a hold of it. Because of this, I never want to spend a lot but I do want to be able to take nice photos of my children. Thanks for your suggestions.

Panasonic FS3, Panasonic FS5, Sony W120, Canon SD1100is, Fuji J10, Nikon S210

Check out this comparison test. The Panasonic LZ8 finishes at the top and offers full manual control as well as aperture priority, shutter priority, a variety of scene modes and full automatic. The Panasonic LZ8 is literally a steal in this category... offering the most control, the greatest zoom range and one of the lowest prices:
