just getting back into things after a while - not sure which lenses/kits are best for a wide range of general photography

does anyone have thoughts on a standard D90 package (body and 18-105mm VR lens or a costco package that has a 18-55 vr and a 55-200 vr for a little more

also, does anyone know of a good place to research lenses

thanks in advance

compare all lens, andlook at the blur test and see how the lenses perform at the their overlaps.

The D90 with 18-105mm VR has been receiving good reviews. Good reviews, not spectacular reviews. Kit lensare never going to be theBEST lens, but for most of us the kit type lenses are quite good and more than sufficient for our needs.

Where their ranges overlap, the 18-105 is comparable to the 55-200, and is sharper than the 18-55 but has more chromatic aberration.

Flip a coin.
