Need a camera for hobby photography. I would mostly be doing portraits, family moments – indoor, outdoor, playground. Zoom is important – at least capable of taking close-up of a person who is 12 meters away. Rarely wild life or nature photography. Want to print up to A4 size. Also capable of cropping a face out of group photo. Would be shooting sometimes in low light / without flash in bulb light condition, maybe candle also, but rarely.

Do not want to go for DSLR as want a fixed lens, so that I am quick to respond if there is an opportunity, and ease of portability, and of course price. I don't mind carrying a camera up to 1 kg (including battery, lens everything), but ideal would be 500 gm – 700 gm.

I have thought of going for 2/3" sensor or bigger, zoom at least 300mm (10x to18x), wide I can live with 28mm or above. Aperture at least F2.8.

Thinking of spending $500.
