Default What camera ??

I need another camera (like a hole in my head according to my wife).

I am looking for a small "throw in the glovebox" camera. Lately I have been missing some good pics because my E-10 is too large and cumbersome to drag around all the time. So I am looking for one I can stick in my pocket, throw in the glovebox, etc.

My criteria in order of importance are:

1. Pocket size
2. Must use AA or better yet CRV3 batteries
3. Prefer SD or SD/HC memory (CF is OK)
4. Minimum 3X optical zoom (more is better)
5. Would like some control over settings but full manual is not necessary
6. Would like to keep price under $150

Any suggestions?

Obvious candidates are the Canon A-series and Panasonic LZ8. But if the camera can come indoors once a month for recharging I would pick a dedicated ion camera over AA for rugged use.
