Default Sony TX1 or T900: is the CMOS sensor that much better?

Had, and have been very happy with the Sony DSCT5. Great camera for its tiny size, but time now to replace it. I had thought of going for the T900 which has some 12MP 4xZoom, etc and 3.5"screen. However, new out is the TX1 which has smaller pixel count at 10MP and only 3" screen, but has the "Exmoor R" CMOS sensor. Is this sensor really much better than the traditional CCD that I would give up 2Mpixels for it?
Any thoughts, much appreciated!

Taxed mind and Silencer-

Yes, the WX-1 and TX-1 will make a huge change in terms of camera capabilities, particularly in the use of high ISO settings. Either of those cameras will be well worth the wait until October.

Bottom line those cameras will offer a larger and much more capable imager, that will cut entirely new ground.

Just found these Sony DSC-WX1 pics more than 70, great looking low light shots taken at ISO 1600-3200, click on "More Properties" to see Exif data, check it out:

2 MP? That's a worthless difference. You are not going to notice much resolution difference between 10 MP vs 12 MP. In Canon's G series, the newer model lost 4 MP. The older G10 was 14 MP and the newer G11 is 10 MP (and probably a much better camera too). Apparently, we have finally reached a limit to MP wars in p&s models.
