Cannon SD 980 IS - any info??

After a 6-yr gap I'm buying a new digital camera. Here is the set of features that I'm looking for:

- Point and shoot
- Pocket-size: As long as its first easily in my pocket or my wife's purse we're happy.
- 720p HD Movies - Short HD movies.
- Image stabilizer
- $300-350 range (lower the better w/ these specs of course)
- 8-12 MP
- 4-5x zoom
- Face detection
- Avoid Red-eye
- Very fine pics: Dont want to compromise on resolution due to compression.

I have zero'ed on cannon sd 980 is. I think its more expensive 'cos of the touch screen - i dont care about that feature.

All you experts out there, please help!!
