Default Need Point & Shoot with GREAT MACRO and some manual overrides

I am a guitar builder and looking to take some close-up shots during my builds to provide to my clients.

I would like something that give me some great macro (close-up) capabilities - but also allows me to set an f-stop if I wanted to.

I'd prefer something in the size of a smaller point-and-shoot.

What would you recommend for me to look at.

Lumix ZS3 has great Macro modes, even Macro Zoom option in Normal Mode, but not f stop. Although the f bracketing may help and the tweaking chances are endless. These are resized from my knife collection. All hand held, natural light.

Choil of a Kanemasa. Tricky pick. ZS3 can focus very precisely:

Extreme close up of the heel. Lumix does it well. You can see the grinding scratches.

Hope it helps.

Take a look at the canon SX-120 it has full auto and manual controls that would allow you to set F-stops. It macro mode is excellent. I have posted a photo sample.

have a great day and a Happy Thanksgiving.

Olympus SP590UZ has all that PLUS SUPER-macro and a 26x zoom with dual IS.
