Default Point & Shoot Suggestions for Teen

Good afternoon,

I am curious if anyone has had good or bad experience with any of the low end digital cameras on the market. Specifically I am looking to buy my young teen step daughter her first digital camera.

I was hoping to stay somewhere around $100 but I am skeptical because I have only bought higher end more sophisticated models thus my expectations are jaded when it comes to the low end models.

I have looked at the following online:

Samsung SL102
Samsung SL30
Casio Exilim EX-Z33
Olympus FE-26

Open to any and all models, just looking for something that takes decent photos but we don't need all the bells and whistles of the fancy cameras.

Thoughts anyone?

Steve recently reviewed the Casio EXZ33 and overall it performed quite nicely. I wouldnt hesitate to grab that.

the Canon a480 is another great choice.

don't think you could wrong between those 2.

My vote go for the Canon A-480. It is solid and very dependable.
