Default Best camera for a 3 year old? :)

So, I'm trying to get our little one hooked as early as possible. She loves taking Daddy's Cannon out and about for some funky 3 year old POV shots! So we want to get a camera that can stand up to her abuse, yet give some decent, non-grainy .3 MP shots. Crayola has what seems to be a decent little 2.1 MP camera, but I'm certainly not convinced yet.

Of course it doesn't need to be a 10MP Canon, but I (and she does too) want to be able to tell if she is taking a picture of our cat, or the contents of our kitchen cabinets (under $50, if possible)

Or maybe we should just get her a real cheap little Polaroid that won't bother me if it breaks?

Just wondering if any of you had any thoughts?

you could always pick up a 5-6 year old camera off of craigslist or something as well.

but yea, any of the cheap drug-store cameras should do fine for a quick introduction, and chances are it will be broke at some point, so the less invested, the less worry.

as she gets older, you can upgrade.

My kids have successively inherited my older point-and-shoots. If you don't have an old one laying around, craigslist or the clearance aisle at Wal-mart. Seriously, my sister found her kid a 3.1mp cheapie that retailed for ~$100 new on clearance for $20.
