Default Best Home camcorder under 250$

Im out to buy a new camcorder. I've decided on a budget around 250$.

Now Id like to know what the best camera i can get for that amount, if there should be on which is a little more expensive but worth giving that little extra for please mention them aswell.

Im looking for: HD recording, Disc- or SDmedia- or Harddrive. HDMI

Ive had a praktica DVC 5.2FHD but ended up selling it as i was not satisfied overall.

Stay away from JVC. They will often just stop working. They will record audio, but the video will be black. This usually happens after the warranty expires, and JVC won't help you unless you wnat to pay more than the camera's worth to fix it.

There have been lawsuits that JVC has settled, but JVC has been able to avoid a class-action, and so they just keep doing business the same way, and the same thing keeps happening.
