Default My first Point and Shoot!

Hi I'm looking to buy my first camera, which i would like to be a point and shoot. I'd like it to be small enough to fit in my pocket easily so around the thickness of a deck of cards or so. My budget is around $150. Picture quality is most important with zoom being 2nd most important (I was hoping for 5x). What cameras would you recommend? Thanks.

Welcome to the Forum. We delighted that you dropped by. You might want to look at:

The Samsung SL420, selling for around $130.00 to 140.00 is an excellent beginner digital camera. It has 10mp and 5X of optical zoom. It has received very good professional reviews. www.steves-digicams.com/camera-reviews/samsung/sl420/samsung-sl420-review.html

The Panasonic ZR-1,
now selling for around $210.00 at www.amazon.com is another excellent beginner digital camera. It has 12mp and 8Xoptical zoom. It too has received excellent professional reviews. http://www.pcworld.com/reviews/produ...ix_dmczr1.html

Have a great day.
