You will want the 70-300mm 4-5.6 IS USM not the 75-300mm III.
Super Frequent Flyer, no joke. Ex Patriot and loving it.

If money is a concern, the Tamron 70-300 Di LD is a better choice than the Canon 75-300 III, and it's cheaper. But the Canon 70-300 IS USM is better that either of them, albeit much more expensive.
