Default Sony H20/Panasonic FS7 battery life

I am about buy an affordable P & S camera for work. I am looking at a few of the cheaper Canon models (A480, A1000)due to their acceptance of AA batteries. Availability of AA batteries while on the road in rural areas is important as I might spend all day travelling to several towns to use the camera.

However, the H20 is available locally for $179, and is small enough that I could justify it as my everyday P & S. I am also looking at the Panasonic Lumix FS7 locally for about $130, due primarily to its wide angle.

Can anyone tell me how the battery life is on the H20 and the FS7 assuming that I will not be using the flash?

How expensive are the memory cards for the Sony?

If you can find a Sony H-20 at $179.00, you had better grab it quick, and please tell me where I can get a H-20 for $179, as the H-20's selling price nationally averages over $300.00.

With that kind of savings on the camera, the cost of the Memory Sick Pro sort of becomes of lesser importance. The H-20 averages 220 to 260 shots on a single battery charge.
