Default Lens question

I have a Sony a200 at the moment and unfortunately, my zoom lense was stolen from me so I'm looking to buy a new one.
I received the camera and the lens as a birthday gift so I really done much research and what to and what not to buy.
So my question is, what is a couple of really good zoom lenses I can get for under $250?
If it makes any difference I usually shoot cars and moving objects.

I have purchased the Sony 55-200mm lens on E-Bay twice for just over $100 including shipping.

Get a 'Beercan'. Minolta 70-210mm f/4.0 1:4 Macro. (See the Dyxum User Reviews and Sample Images.) For $250 or less, there's nothing better, and you'll have $50-$100 left over.
  • The lens is the thing.
  • 'Full Frame' is the new 'Medium Format'.
