I would really see if you can get your hand on both to test them out. Since you are going to be making money with them, you will want the one that fits your needs the best. You can not go wrong with either.

Yeah I'm trying to see how I can try them out. T2i isn't even in most stores yet. Maybe best buy....

LensRentals.com has the D90, T1i and T2i available to rent. That would give you some real experience with them instead of just a chance to hold them in the store. Plus you can rent the appropriate lenses, which Best Buy probably doesn't even have in the store.

Well, are you going to be using strobes or flashes for your portrait work? If flashes, Nikon has the better flash system. If you're going to use strobes, that won't matter as much. The resolution difference is so negligible it's not worth factoring in.
