Default what camera should I buy

I need a point and shoot, would like some adjustments for fine tuning later but just straight point and shoot will be fine. Would like one that shoots decent video too.

In the past I've had an Olympus UZ-765 and a Oly SP-560, I loved the quality of photos but didn't like the lagg time when shooting. Both cameras crapped out and ultimately I was unhappy with Oly customer service and product.

I'm looking for a bargain so refurbs or discontinued models are a plus.

Panasonic FZ series perhaps? FZ28 or FZ35. FZ28 is discontinued so if you can find one, prob get a break on it.

Refurb is $270 at buy.com but note that it isn't being sold/shipped directly from buy.com but rather by a 3rd party.

Disclaimer: I take photos of life rather than live to take photos and my opinions of cameras are reflected accordingly.

There are also a number of Panasonic ZS1, ZS3, and ZR1 cameras available on E-Bay.
