Those are very impressive photos. SX-10 or SX20? I was basing my joshing on my Canon S-3 experience. I did not know the SX10/20 could do that well.

That's the SX10, an '09 model. The newer SX20 is slightly larger image (12MP vs 10), and shoots 720P HD, so of course has the 16:9 flip screen. This is my third Canon of this lineage, and I've been very pleased. The VGA video on this model is very good, and the lens is fairly fast at f2.8 at the wide end.
