Default Canon SX 20 IS vs. SX210 IS

I am in the market for my first megazoom or entry level SLR camera. I was originally going to purchase the Canon T2i, but now believe it is more camera than I need! I am in no way a professional - just looking for an upgrade to my current ELPH. The two I am now comparing are the Canon SX20 IS and the Canon SX210 IS (although I will wait for the SX30 that is rumored to arrive this Fall instead of purchasing the SX20). What is most important to me: Picture quality, zoom, screen size, and shooting speed. Please advise!

Welcome to the Forum. We're glad you dropped by.

In a recent DRP review of super zoom cameras, the SX-20 tied with the Panasonic FZ-35. The SX-210 was in the middle of the pack. both the FZ-35 and the SX-20 are due for replacement this Fall.
