Default HELP! any suggestions on what camera i should buy?

I'm desperately looking for a good all around point and shoot. I mostly use it for family photos, events, take pics of my dog, people, and scenery. I don't use video much so i am willing to sacrifice that feature if the other functions are decent.

im looking for:

- at least 4.8/5 image quality based on your opinion
- decent performance in lowlight
- every other function should be decent

i prefer but not absolutely necessary:

- built in red-eye reduction
- face detection

i'd appreciated detailed information including pros and cons!

this is my 2nd camera so far so im really not tech savvy at all. my budget is $200. any help is welcomed and thanks =D

I'd say the Canon S90 or the new Panasonic LX5 are probably your best bets. There's also the Panasonic LX3, which has dropped in price since the announcement of the LX5 but its lens is only 2.5x.

S-90/S-95, LX-3, or LX-5.
