Default Best camera for scale models

I have a hobby -28-35mm historical figures modelism. Unfortunatelly every time when I am trying to present picture in inet I should rely on friends or studio. I wish I could make good picture by myself, so first step - buy a camera, very good for macro, SLR, in 1000-1500 USD range.

I would appreciate any recommendation,
thank you

All dSLR manufacturers have a good selection of macro lenses, and there are no bad macro lenses, and since you'll be shooting inanimate subjects in controlled lighting, and will probably use a tripod, image stabilization won't be an issue. So for your intended purpose, there isn't much that distinguishes one brand from another or one model from another.

Might you use this camera for other purposes, and can you describe those other purposes?

canon 60d or nikon d7000 plus a macro lens should probably come in at around $1500 both good cameras - pentax k5 and macro lens be a bit more expensive in the states - but has better ergonomics and build quality than the other 2 in my opinion but then i'm a pentax shooter
