Welcome to the forum.

The very fastest cameras have shutter speeds of a few hundred ns (nano seconds)
Have you need for such a camera?

DSLR cameras have fast shutter times. My Canon 500D/T1i can do exposure times
down to 1/4000s. More expensive ones can do 1/8000s

You are probably looking for a camera with short shot-to-shot
times. DSLRs are generally faster than point-&-shoot cameras.
You can expect shooting speeds of several frames per second.
There are two limiting factors. The first is the speed at which the
camera can focus accurately on the subject, the second is the
rate at which the recorded image can be stored. As memory
cards are relatively slow, digital cameras have a memory buffer
which holds the image data until it is written to the slower memory
card. When this buffer is full, shooting speed may reduce dramatically.

What will you be shooting? What is your budget? Have you
any other requirements like small size or good weatherproofing?

What class of camera are you looking for, compact, megazoom, interchangeable lens, DSLR? The camera reviews on sites such as http://www.steves-digicams.com/ will show the range of shutter speeds available for a particular model.

For example a Nikon D3s DSLR has a top shutter speed of 1/8000 second but also costs $5000 plus you have to buy lenses for it as well!

Give us a few more details as to what you want to accomplish and we'll try to help you.
