Default travel zoom compact cameras - AF and Shutter lag

I am interested in the Canon sx230 or Sonyhx9.
Since my primary subjects are my kids.
I need a fast AF and quick shutter lag so image won't get blurry and out of focus.

how can i know which is best ?
is there a better compact camera for my needs ?

Default New suggestion

I am A father of small kids and I realized that many like my need a new camera to take pictures of their new kids.
Since there is not a single site that keeps track of the best camera for parents with small children can anyone give the best camera for us parents.
or at least give the things that matter when looking for a camera.

There is noting more upsetting then a blur image, with noise and distortion you can live but bluer image is to deleted.

G'day Noam

Regardless of which camera you buy - with your present camera do you have / can you set "burst" exposures ... where you can shoot 3 - 5 - 7 ?? images in qwik succession??
ps- the burst icon looks like 3 sheets of paper in a stack

This might be a way of snapping 'the exact moment' and you can delete the also-ran's
