Default Replacement camera for my Canon S2 IS?

I have a Canon S2 IS that I have been using for several years. Recently I have noticed that I can't get all three of my children to be in focus in the same shot and am coming to the conclusion that it might be wearing out. I was thinking that with the new technology available that will focus on several faces at the same time (face recognition?) that it might be a good idea to purchase a camera with this feature.

Any thoughts or suggestions on a camera that would be a good choice? I take a lot of pictures, but mainly of the three children and I am really critical about the images being clear. I also use the video feature quite a bit.
