Default thank you simon40

Great pictures! I enjoyed looking at them. And thanks for the lens advice.

Don't be afraid of a 10D. It's an excellent and very capable camera. If you can find a clean specimen that hasn't been heavily used at a good price then go for it.

I'm on my second 10D. My current one was recently refurbished by Canon and does very nicely, thank you. It uses all the standard EF mount lenses but not the EF-S. It will use the crop sensor lenses (those meant for a 1.6 crop camera) by makers other than Canon, however.

I do agree that the age of the 10D might be a problem. It is a very well made camera and rugged but a 7 year old model is always a risk unless you know the source and can check it out before purchase. Otherwise, save your hard-earned money and buy yourself a new model. A new model digital Rebel (XS) can be had for around $500 with a decent kit lens. Not bad by any standards.
