Default Lumix SZ7 vs ZS10

Hello -
I see the ZS10 online for about the same price as the upcoming SZ7. The main advantage of the SZ7 seems to be the MPEG-4 while the main advantage of the ZS10 seems to be the manual exposure modes.
I mostly use a camera on vacation and like to get videos and photos of animals and birds. I know I could get better shots with a more sophisticated setup but I prefer to remain in the realm of point and shoot cameras.
Also, which is better with the Leica lens - more elements and groups or less?

The ZS10 obviously has the reach advantage- would this be an issue..?
Also,as you say- you'd miss out on the manual modes with the SZ7(a deal breaker for me,personally...). That said- if you want a small, lightweight point and shoot with great video capability and all round simplicity- you could do far worse than the SZ7,especially with the inclusion of it's "light-speed" autofocus system. It also apparently has an "all new" 14 mp sensor which will assist in lower noise levels- I guess we'll have to wait for a review...!

Hadn't heard of the sz7 one till I saw this post but it's lack of manual control kills it for me, too.
