Hey everyone...
I'm interested in making a webseries that's a mish-mash of horror and sci-fi. I'm already pretty good with adobe premiere, particle illusion, and some of the other grading/editing/effects programs, but now for the camera question... I like the look of the Canons. A lot of the vids that I have seen people film using them (along with after effects, etc) give them a look that reminds me a lot of that 'Battlestar Galactica' or 'Stargate Universe' sort of 'look and feel'. That being said, which would be best for this project, a t2i, t3i, or t4i? And what lenses would you recommend? Thanks! Chris |

Welcome to Steve's. Unfortunately I don't think we have any active members that do a lot of serious video work with their DSLRs.
A google turned up the following results where you might be able to get better information from people more experienced at the video side: http://www.cinema5d.com/ http://dslrvideoshooter.com/20-video...blogs-reading/ http://www.premiumbeat.com/blog/10-g...tion-and-post/ |

I do some video with my Nikon D7000, but no at the level you are projecting. I don't know the video capability of the Rebel series, but 60D, 7D and 5D are quite formidable. The high end Nikon and Canons have even been put up major comparisons involving high end dedicared video cameras and had solid performances.
You may want to pose this queston in the forum dedicated to the Canon EOS DSLR. Perhaps some of them will be aware if the video capabilities in the Rebel line. |
