I am thinking of buying a camera for my parents. But they are both getting older and need reading glasses. When I borrowed them my casio this summer they came home with what they thought were a nice snapshot of a fox. It turned out they used the sound function.... The problem is that the text on the screen is too small for them to read.

Does anyone know of a good camera, that is really easy to handle without a set of perfect eyes?

There are several models out there. If your parents are most likely going to use the LCD for framing their picutres, try and find a digicam with a large LCD, say 2.0-inches or larger. The menu textwill also belarger and easier to read.

My kodak's2.2 in screen is pretty easy on the eyes, my mom can even use it without her reading glasses, and when you turn it to different modes it tells you what that mode is for in pretty big fonts.

I've seen other digicam makers with 2.5" screens, you should have quite a few options
